It is not easy for anyone to admit that they need assistance in everyday living. Furthermore, it can be somewhat confusing moving from one home to another. For some, transportation for doctor’s appointments or simply getting your latest prescription medicine can be difficult. We can help you get in touch with physicians for a home visit and arrange delivery of your prescriptions.

This is why we help our seniors adjust so that they will still feel like they are at home whilst having someone assist them in the times of need. Let us help you have both.

Approximately six years ago, I became responsible for the care of a very dear friend who was no longer able to live by herself due to a severe back injury. At that time, she was residing in another care facility which did not meet the quality and care I felt she needed and deserved. I began interviewing and visiting care providers and discovered Woodland Borden Care. I placed my friend in care of Mira Vukovich, not realizing at the time that my friend would reside in Mira's wonderful care for the next 5 1/2 years. My wife Beverly has now been at the Woodland Borden Care for over nine months. When she first arrived, she was very weak after having pneumonia and four falls. The professional staff did a great job caring for her and her health has improved. She no longer needs oxygen and with the help of a walker, she gets around very well. I was also impressed with overall cleanliness of the inside and outside of the facility. I highly recommend Woodland Borden for the care of their loved ones.

My dear friend moved into Woodland Borden Care in 2017. Right away she was made to feel at home, like she was indeed the special person she has been to me. I visit Ruth every week and am comforted seeing how happy she is. When the weather permits she can be found on the back patio in "her" chair enjoying the rose and vegetable gardens that are such a delight to her. Mira and son George treat her with such love and respect. She loves "Spa Day " when the ladies get a nice blow dry and manicures. George often sits with her and patiently listens to her life stories. I think she enjoys that most of all.

Many of us have aging parents and there some who are living well into their 90's, just like my mother. When it became clear that living alone became impossible, even with the help of home care and dear friends, we had to make the painful decision to find a care facility for her. Woodland Borden Care is not a facility, rather a Home! We researched 10 care homes and put Woodland on the top of our list. It has turned out to be heaven on earth for my mother. She always loved gardening and now she is in a little paradise - vegetable gardens, fruit trees and grape vines. She now refers to Woodland has her "home" and Mira and George has her family.
